The AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program is made possible through funding from AmeriCorps Seniors and enables HandsOn Suburban Chicago to deliver high-quality programming for adults 55 and better.

Recognition
We care deeply for our Volunteers and recognize them through annual volunteer recognition, birthday cards, and special giveaway drawings.

We keep our Volunteers informed through eNewsletters providing updates on volunteer opportunities, nonprofit partners, and volunteer highlights.
Insurance
AmeriCorps Seniors offers a no-cost insurance protection service to all Volunteers. You’re automatically covered once you’ve enrolled in the RSVP program!
AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Membership – Insurance Programs
AmeriCorps Seniors provides a no-cost Insurance Protection Service to all volunteers. All volunteers are automatically covered once you’ve enrolled in the RSVP program. The Insurance Program includes three forms of coverage:
- Excess Accidental Medical Coverage
This coverage is an add-on to any other health insurance you have. - Excess Volunteer Liability Insurance
For all registered volunteers, this policy protects if you are liable for bodily injury or property damage arising from performing your duties during our volunteer assignment. - Excess Automobile Liability Insurance
This coverage protects you as a registered volunteer driver while performing our duties. This coverage protects you from bodily injury or property damage claims arising out of the operation of your vehicle during our volunteer assignment.
Reimbursement
AmeriCorps Seniors offers mileage reimbursement for Volunteers who use their personal cars while driving for meal delivery and senior transportation (when funding is available).
