Court-Appointed Volunteer Opportunities
If you need to fulfill court-appointed community service requirements, please follow these instructions.
Below is a list of nonprofit volunteer opportunities that will accept mandatory court-appointed volunteers. The Advanced Search filters will allow you to refine the search criteria by age, location, interest area, and available options.
Once you find a volunteer opportunity that interests you:
- Click on the title to view the description of the full volunteer opportunity.
- Click on the “Express Interest” box near the bottom of the description page to send your contact information to the volunteer coordinator of the organization selected.
- You will be prompted to register as a volunteer. Complete the form, and then the information will be sent.
Once completed, you will see a confirmation pop-up and receive a confirmation email. The volunteer coordinator will contact you via phone or email to discuss your participation in their program. Please allow 3-5 business days to be contacted. If you are still waiting to be contacted after five business days, return to the opportunity listing and use the email link to contact the organization.
Age requirements and offense exclusions may preclude an organization from allowing you to volunteer. All volunteer opportunities are at the discretion of each nonprofit organization. HOSC is the connector organization. Nonprofits are solely responsible for making decisions about accepting volunteers.
Be aware that it often takes time to register and begin volunteering, and it can be two weeks or more before you can start.
People recognize that volunteering is one of the most beneficial actions we can take in our community. Many people want to get involved but do not have the wherewithal to find an opportunity that matches their interests, schedules, and/or locations. HOSC assists people by connecting them with volunteer opportunities where they can do good, and it can meet their needs.
