55 and Better Programs
HandsOn Suburban Chicago believes older adults should be treated with respect and dignity and have meaningful opportunities to contribute to the world. We collaborate with nonprofits, schools, and government entities to give senior citizens a place to share their time, talents, and resources in impactful ways.
School Programs
Our school programs provide equitable opportunities for low-income, high-risk elementary and middle school students to succeed in high school. These programs improve students’ grades, attendance, and social and emotional well-being.
Community Paint-a-thon
The Community Paint-a-thon (PAT) provides exterior painting free to low-income individuals 60 and better, veterans, and people with disabilities. The program offers dignity and housing security to homeowners and enables them to live independently in their community by restoring the exterior of their homes. This mutually beneficial program provides volunteers an impactful and engaging experience to make a difference in the community.
Corporate Social Responsibility Programs
HOSC connects companies with nonprofits in need, recognizing the crucial role businesses play in fostering stronger communities through meaningful partnerships.
